The children have just written these about things they know how to do. I got them to share them to Google docs because we were all together in the computer suite. (I haven't read any of them so they are very much their work) They need to proof read them.
We have been focussing on using the correct format for instructions and the use of verbs which best describe what they are doing. And last of all that it makes sense and you can follow the directions.
Format:
Title
Goal - a sentence which further describes what they are doing.
Materials or things they need (may use different words, ingredients etc. )
Method- what to do (this is inportant- does it use good verbs and does it make sense)
Test- A sentence at the end to give a tip or a hint about what you have made.
I think some have still yet to finish I will check in the morning.I hope this all makes sense :-)
